About The Author

Picture Of Mk StapleMK Staple has loved the fresh ocean air and rugged, scenic surroundings of Newfoundland and Labrador for her entire life! It is with pride that she calls It her home! She enjoyed success and pleasure from her early writings as a young girl, which ultimately influenced greatly her eventual career choices! After retirement she wrote and published The Holiday Killers and the sequel Legacy of Evil. Both novels depict the evil crimes and consequences of seriously deranged men and their children. Her third novel The Squatters tells the tragic tale of a brother and sister who grow up very poor in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. A catastrophic family tragedy blows their world apart and they are left alone to find their way. They are parted and the Smoky Mountains calls them both home but on different and tragic paths! Her fourth novel Murder at Blackhead is set in WWII and depicts the story of a local girl Isabel and how she was duped into marrying a German spy. His intent is to disrupt the supply line between North America and Europe during the war! The book details the Nazi involvement in the Knights of Columbus fire in St. John's in December of 1942. Many American, British and Canadian servicemen lost their lives in the fire.


MK Staple has travelled extensively in Canada, the United States, the Caribbean and Europe. Yet her most passionate place on earth still remains Newfoundland and Labrador, a place lovingly called The Rock! She publishes an Online travel blog on this website with her husband Mark which details their travel experiences, offering helpful hints, views and reviews of the places they have seen and explored!
